Miss Sue: I am sure he would be pleased to know this. Maybe he does know it!
tw: Can you tell me which version/edition of the Bible that Tiny read and carried with him?
Miss Sue: He read the old Douay-Rheims version, but he did not carry it with him
because it was too
heavy.
I think he may have had a pocket New Testament and Psalms of
some other version.
However, he mostly
depended upon the Gideon Bibles in hotel rooms for
his daily reading,
since he was usually on the road.
He did his prayers from midnight til
2 a.m., unless he was
kept out later because of a gig. If so, he started
whenever he got back
to the room.
tw: Were there any prayer books that he read?
Miss Sue: He really liked the prayer books by Father Lawrence Lovasik.
tw: I am interested in the Rosary. Can you tell me a little about how Tiny prayed the Rosary?
Miss Sue: He had several chaplets -- short rosaries -- and he had some rosary books.
When I get back to
Minneapolis I may have those prayer books scanned. I didn't know anyone
would be
interested, but now
that you mention it, I should put that on the site [www.tinytim.org],
along with the address to send for Father
Lovasik's books [211 W. 7th Avenue, Tarentum, PA 15084,
Father Lovasik Publications]. Tiny loved them.
I think they are available at any Catholic bookstore, too. They are small books, softbound, with pictures.
Tiny loved books with pictures.
tw: All the best to you on the work you are doing to foster Christ and bring recognition to your husband, Tiny Tim.
Miss Sue: Thank you!
