To Obtain Sincere Repentance for Sins
O most glorious St. Margaret,
you are the true pearl whom Almighty God
with such great love
snatched from the hand
of the infernal enemy who possessed you
so that by means of your wondrous conversion,
saintly life, and most precious death,
He might inspire all poor sinners to forsake sin
by doing good and avoiding evil
as well as all occasions of sin.
Obtain for us,
your devoted clients,
from your exalted place in heaven,
to which your weeping and your penance lifted you,
the grace of a true repentance,
a lively sorrow for our sins,
and after a holy life spent, like yours,
in the love of Jesus Crucified,
the grace of a happy death
and a crown of glory in paradise.
